Seven-Part Mosaic Series: The Archangels of the First Seven Rays

This is a seven-part in-progress series based on the seven major archangels of the first seven rays: Michael, Jophiel, Chamuel, Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel, and Zadkiel. Along with their divine counterparts, these beings are understood to minister distinct God qualities to humanity through each of the rays.

These are my renditions of these angels in glass mosaic. Each piece is unique, and each work is relatively large in scale, approximately 3 x 3 feet or 3 x 4 feet.

For me, these angles have helpped gound this understanding, and transform the deeper insights in to tangible material light that hangs on the wall and is an everyday reminder of this path of alchemy and eternal becoming.

What is an angel, and how does one work with one?

An angel is a divine being who comes close when the house is clean, the flowers smell sweet, the kind heart helps a neighbor, or through the command of the spoken word.

Angels are many, and they serve in different roles. Each of us has our own guardian angel, and there are also many legions of angels assigned to each archangel, whose band and orders are devoted to protecting and qualifying the light of the ray they serve.

There are seven archangels who govern these bodies of angels and who act as captains of their bands, each connected to one of the seven rays.
